The ‘ Divyang Lagna Sahay Yojna ‘ has been implemented by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Gandhinagar to provide financial assistance for marriages to Divyang to Divyang and Divyang to ordinary persons . this scheme has been implemented with the aim of enabling the Divyang to Divyang and normal persons to Divyang to lead a dignified life in the society . For which now only online application has to be done from e-samaj kalyan portal ( e -samaj kalyan portal ).
Eligibility For Divyang Lagna Sahay Yojna
There are many departments functioning under Government of Gujarat Social Department . In which various government schemes are run by the Samaj Surakasha Adhikari . Following are the eligibility criteria for Divyang Lagn Sahay Yojna.
- Age of girl should be more than 18 years and boy should be more than 21 years.
- The benefit of the scheme will be availed only once (per couple).
- In this scheme, application has to be made within a time limit of 2 years from the date of marriage.
- In case of marriage of a disabled person residing in two different districts, the application for availing the benefit of Divyang Marriage Assistance Scheme should be made by the couple in the district of permanent residence of the disabled couple after marriage. The District Social Security Officer of the district which approved the application has to inform the District Social Security Officer of the other district about the approval of the application.
- In case a disabled applicant marries a disabled woman from another state, both disabled spouses will be eligible to get the benefit of this scheme on submission of prescribed proof. In case a disabled applicant marries a disabled woman from another state, the District Social Security Officer shall obtain an undertaking from the applicant woman that the female beneficiary has not received disability marriage benefit from her state.

Help available for Divyang Lagn Sahay Yojna
- Under this scheme, when a disabled person marries each other, a total of Rs.50000/- + Rs.50000/- per couple is eligible for Rs.1,00,000/-(One Lakh).
- In case of disabled to normal person marrying each other, the disabled person will get Rs. 5000/- assistance is given.
Application form in Divyang Lagn Sahay Yojna:
- Under this scheme, online application is accepted at esamajkalyan.gujarat.gov.in portal and the benefit of this scheme has been made available in just one day through E-Gram Kendras under Digital Seva Setu from Digital Gujarat Portal.
- The authority to verify and approve online applications rests with the concerned District Social Officer.

Amount of assistance under Divyang Lagna Sahay Yojna
- Under this divyang lagn sahay yojna , when a disabled person marries each other, both the couple are eligible to receive Rs 50,000 (fifty thousand) + Rs 50,000 (fifty) in total Rs 1,00,000 (one lakh) assistance .
- In case of marriage between a disabled person and a normal person , an assistance of Rupees 50,000 (fifty thousand) is given to the disabled person.
