This scheme has been implemented to provide relief to disabled persons to some extent, to make it easier to get employment and to provide employment oriented tools. Divyang Sadhan Sahay Yojana

‘Divyang Sadhan Sahay Yojana’ has been implemented by Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Gandhinagar to provide financial assistance to disabled persons. ‘Divyang Sadhan Sahay Yojana‘ has been implemented with the aim of enabling the disabled to lead a dignified life in the society. Which now only online application has to be done from e-samaj kalyan portal (e-samaj kalyan portal).

Divyang Sadhan Sahay Yojana is implemented with the objective of providing artificial limbs to persons with 40 percent or more disabilities and providing educational and business-useful equipment for their educational development and social rehabilitation.

Launch of Divyang Sadhan Sahai Yojana

Divyang Sadhan Sahay Yojana for providing material assistance to the differently abled persons has been started with effect from former Education and Labor Department Resolution No. EDB/1069/R1P60/6, dated 10-4-70.

Purpose of Divyang Sadhan Sahay Yojana

Sadhana Sahai Yojana has been implemented in the state with the aim of providing them with artificial limbs and educational and business useful tools for their educational development and social rehabilitation.

Who can get the benefit of Divyang Sadhan Sahay Yojana?

A person with 40 percent or more disability is given benefit under this scheme.
A person below 16 years of age cannot be given employment related equipment.
Should be resident of Gujarat.

Types of Disability in Divyang Sadhana Sahay Scheme

The benefit of Divyang Sadhan Sahay Yojana will be given to persons with 21 types of disabilities and percentage of disabilities. Which are as follows.

Assistance available under Divyang Sadhan Sahay Yojana

Under this scheme, the beneficiary will be provided with equipment to relieve his disability and self-employment oriented equipment of Rs. 2000/- is given within the limit. A person with any kind of disability can be provided with employment-oriented and tools that relieve his disability. The equipment that helps in 21 types of disabilities will be available as determined by the Government.

Divyang Sadhan Sahai Yojana Apply Online

Online application has to be made through the Social Justice & Empowerment Department (SJED) of Gujarat Government through e-Samaj Kalyan Portal (https://esamajkalyan.gujarat.gov.in/index.aspx). The District Social Security Officer shall have the authority to verify the applications of the Divyang Sadhan Sahay Yojana and approve the assistance and for more information the office of the ‘District Social Security Officer’ at the district headquarters shall be contacted.
